Celine Khoury

Grad Life Intern

I received my BA in English from UC Santa Barbara. Having studied abroad in Norwich, England in my undergrad, I returned to Norwich to receive my MA in Medieval and Early Modern Literature from the University of East Anglia. Currently, I am in my third year of my PhD in Literature at UC San Diego. My research interests include race and empire in the medieval and early modern periods, cultural studies, and travel writing. Outside of my research, I am passionate about fostering a sense of authentic and genuine community among graduate students through collaboration, service, and advocacy. My personal history as a first-generation college student and diverse background as a daughter of immigrants continue to influence the connections that I build at UC San Diego.
